With so many hotels and resorts to choose from, it might be hard to plan your stay in Fiji after a Fiji cruise. Resorts go from super cheap to very expensive, and it’s not always easy to choose a good accommodation that will fit your needs and your budget. So here’s a list of our top Fiji resorts in all price ranges.

1.    Coconut Grove Beachfront Cottages

This tiny “resort” comprised of three cottages on the beach of Matei Island will surprise you by its simplicity and comfort. Ronna, the owner, will cook you breakfast, lunch or dinner and serve it on her own front porch; she gives half-hour massages, has complimentary kayaks and organizes village visits. At around $160US per night for a double room, it’s definitely some of the best value resorts on Fiji. Note that children under 6 are not admitted on the resort.

2.    Vomo Island Resort

This luxurious (from $539US per night) resort on an isolated island in the Mamanucas will seduce you through its beautiful air-conditioned private cottages, its variety of activities and amenities such as a spa, a 9-hole golf course and equipment for water activities. The resort even owns a private island for day trips. If you can afford it, it’s definitely worth a night or two!

3.    Turtle Island Resort

This is probably the most picturesque (but also one of the most expensive) resort in Fiji. The Turtle Island resort offers an all-inclusive trip starting at $1,765US per couple. The only thing you don’t get in this price is the therapeutic massage. Everything else, including meals, drinks, kayaks, hammocks and some of them have two-person spa tubs. Couples and singles only, except during certain family weeks. Oh, and you can rent the entire island if you need it.

4.    Home Stay Suva

We couldn’t give you a list of great Fiji resorts without mentioning the best home stay bed-and-breakfast in the entire archipelago. This beautiful colonial home from the 1920s has been renovated with nine rooms, each with its own bathroom. Beautiful views, delicious breakfast and a safe place for single travellers makes this home stay hotel one of the best choices in Suva for around $110US per night.

5.    Jean-Michel Cousteau Fiji Islands Resort

For the eco-minded luxury travelers, this resort is made especially for you. It has won numerous prizes and been featured in many travel magazines. Everything in this resort has been built or renovated with the environment in mind: wastewater management, no air conditioners, ecological activities and access to marine biologists for jungle visits or ocean dives. There are nannies for the children, excellent organic, local food and separate dining rooms for families and couples. And you can stay for as little as $575US for a double room.

Fiji has a lot of hotels and resorts to choose from for every budget. Whether you want the privacy of a private island or prefer the bustle of a B&B in downtown Suva, you’ll find something to suit your needs.
