Australia is a vast country that is home to some truly spectacular locations. The size of the country means that visitors and Australians alike can easily travel around the country for holidays and still experience some completely alien environments. Highway 1 is the longest national highway in the world and it is one which offers a vast array of locations. South West Coast

The South West Coast of Australia is a great place to visit for a road trip because it will allow you to loop through some of the best vineyards in the world and stop off at isolated beaches along the way. If you visit the area of Albany around July you may even get the chance to see whales breaching near the shore.

Uluru

Any trip to Australia needs to include a trip to Uluru. This iconic region of Australia has of huge significance to Aboriginals and Australians alike and there is little wonder why. The 5km eruption from the centre of the desert is a remarkable sight to behold and it is one which will stick with you forever. However you decide to drive there, it is worth making this the end destination of any road trip because it is the best way to end a period in Australia.
